I have had 2 or 3 of these faults all cured by the above mentioned process of locking, unlocking etc. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I experienced my first Transmission failed message about 8 days ago. I restarted the engine, and it seemed to go away.

After a dealer visit and running diagnostics; turbo modulator faulty so will be replaced. The RRS computer first found fault with engine power (reduced turbo power I assume) so put transmission into F mode to protect the engine. If you stop the engine and take the key out of the ignition - it is the equivelent of a windows reboot. Everything carries on as normal until an error is detected again. I am not a mechanic or software engineer. |

The 'F' mode can also be triggered by faulty wiring loom connector at back of gearbox...your LR dealer should know this but it's a pain to check and replace Chips with everything |
