Tax discs at the old rate

I have just renewed my tax disc (expiring 31 Mar 07) at www.direct.gov.uk/taxdisc at the old rate of £190 instead of the new rate of £205. You will need a 16 digit reference number printed on the renewal letter they send you .. this means that they have checked that you have valid MOT (if applicable) and insurance.

HOWEVER, the new rates applies from 22 Mar 07, which is just over at hour away!!!
