2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Transmission Fault

My car just stopped on Wed 21 would'nt let me put it in to gear or even release the handbrake so it went into the garage on fri, hadn't heard from them for a week so called in today and was told there waiting on a new gear box from the UK .Anyone heard of any problems like this

Bad luck pulse...

There was a thread very recently (which I can't quite put my hands on right now) about how ZF have accepted there is some sort of hydraulic clutching issue with the current gearbox and that a fix is being worked on. Whether this is the problem you have of course, I couldn't say... if the dealer are going to replace the gearbox at least you have a resolution. Let us know how it ends up!

Well finally after 3 weeks sitting in the dealers I've got my baby back with a new gearbox all seems good so far

It would be good if you could press the dealer for more details like what was actually wrong with the gearbox and why they changed it. This will help the others here who have similar problems.
