Likewise... I am 6'4" and had the rear seats down for furniture transport on several occasions without it impairing my driving position... I prefer to drive with the backrest fairly upright though, so maybe that's why it worked for me

it's not so much a question of the position of the backrest but more of the position of the entire seat. If you have shortish legs your seat will be positioned more forward. I have quite long legs and have the seat positioned at almost the rearmost setting. Teach you for being lanky b if you were a more sensible 5'4" like myself it is not a problem and with a cushion I don't even need to stand on the seat to see over the steering wheel |

Well I'm a short a*se at 5'7" and I find that my most comfortable driving position is with the seat almost right back on the bump stops and the back upright...............................
