On my way now.., unless Herr Flick beats me to it!!! And I'm back! Nice pair of pert boobies, with smurf sucking the nips.., correct? Not quite Kleenex job, but certainly beats the recent boredom! Cliff - the Cayenne IS a good car, despite our partisan views.

It might we worth pursuing another company, i can understand there reluctance to get involved when the car is still under warranty, but would of thought if nothing else they would give you some advice or an off the record opinion, why not try one of the motoring organisations, or this might sound a bit daft but your bank, i have used my bank in the past when i have had a dispute with a supplier/retailer. As Brian said mabybe just the mention of trading standards or watch dog or even topgear, may help, or breakdown in tears in the middle of a packed showroom might do the trick Failing that touch it, claim on the insurance and buy something else What ever you do, all the best with it some of my Previous cars -------------------------------- P38 Range Rover Autobiography RRS 2.7 HSE Silver RRS TDV8 HSE silver FFRR Vogue black Disco3 HSE silver RRS 2.7 HSE silver RRS 3.0 HSE BALTI BLUE ______________________________ current vehicles RRS 3.0 L494 Autobiography Audi R8 V10 Spyder AC Cobra Landrover Defender 90 Landrover Defender 110 Suzuki Jimney |

Just a quick suggestion... Take out another RRS from a different dealer for a longish test drive and see what the difference is. You can then go back and compare like for like. Then if they still refuse to lisen take out the service guy in both cars. If they still dont agree there is a difference, get it in writing. Then go the indepndent inspection route. I know its a pain in the arse but some times you have to get the ammunition together to fight the war. Thanks to all for your suggestions, as I say, it's gone in to dealers today with a bl**dy long list of 'to do's', will have to see what transpires........... oh and Cliff H, I'm sorry your thread went 'OFF TOPIC', but as an ex D3 owner, I think you'll understand........ |

Shmoogle you are having a laugh aren't you about off road ability. You are talking chalk and cheese here. The TR system makes the car unbelievably good even in the hands of a novice. It is a bit like comparing a Freelander1 to a RRS, yes the Freelander is capable off road but is not in the same league with the capabilities of the RRS. That having been said I suspect the off road abilities are not really important here |
