Put the mud back on. Sad It looked brilliant in the earlier photo's.

I would have driven around showing off in all the mud for a couple of days. Laughing And you would have been guarenteed a big parking space on Sainsbury's carpark.

Rest assured the VA love wagon will be as dirty as a vicars bedside table for the next week!

Now the damage report - from what I know. A few deep scratches on the front bumper but about to cut a big hole in that for the winch so who cares!. One tyre is now fully deflated. There is a clunking noise from the front suspension. I've lost a number plate - again, same place as last time! Scratches on the wheels - but these are my offroad ones so I don't care! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

Fellas, the pix are truly amazing. I cant believe my pampered motor will actually do that? Doesn't all that mud, water and s Censored t cause any problems to the electrics or bodywork? Confused MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs

ok, damage report

- two front tyres need replacing due to big chunks that have been taken out of the sides - the Pirellis are a bit soft and the ruts a bit deep in places

- two alloys have small notches taken out of the edge rim part - nothing major at all, however noticeable

- one of the plastic clips for the tow bar hook covers broke while refitting it this evening Evil or Very Mad Exclamation Evil or Very Mad Question

however I'd glad to report NO scratches anywhere - alloys are fine, and paint work untouched Thumbs Up

So quite an expensive weekend then, glad to see no serious damage Thumbs Up some of my Previous cars

The basic paintwork is fine, the problems are with the rubber trim and black pilars. This mud gets everywhere so even when you clean in there's mud in all the bits you unable to reach. The engine compartment is caked too! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Cheers Brian - you should definetely try it out - there are many sections of Salisbury Plains where you can just try it out without getting in deep - also, you can go through the water slowly - its just VA is a big kid and I'm a copycat Very Happy

Thanks to Kaine for having me along even if it was a blingy softroaders weekend I still enjoyed it Wink

Hope to meet up with some of the guys again, maybe we'll sort a nice gentle trip around mid wales in the warmer months to tempt those who don't want to get quite so dirty.......Misery ?? Mr. Green
