Side Step - Dealer install

Has anyone had the side steps fitted through their dealer? I think they are trying to rip me off becuase they quoted me $789 for the side steps and $700 for the labor. Is it just me or does that price for labor seem rediculous?

Yes that price is ridiculous. I was charged £100 for labor by Porsche dealer in UK. 2013 New Range Rover Sport HSE SDV6

You can do it yourself, but having looked over the instructions myself I think the dealer would be best placed to. That price is too high though. L319 D4 HSE

Dude, that's definitely a leg-lift. The job on the LR3 is on the garage books at 1 3/4 hours, so your grease monkeys are being charged out at $400/hr - are they lawyers too?
I did it myself and I'm no mechanic. The worst part is cutting the plastic cill trim. Took me 2 hours for the first and 45 minutes for the second.
