took 2 weeks from build date to delivery to the dealer for me, however LR stopped shipping for 2/3 days due to a Quality problem - I'd expect no longer than 2 weeks

Well I was given a look at the build sheet for mine:

Went into build 9/2/07 - a Friday!
Comes out of build - 16/2/07 - a Friday! - Does this make it a Friday car!

Deliver to dealer 28/2/07
Deliver to me - 1/3/07

They have quoted 8 days for the whole process. Starting with flat sheets of metal. Ending with a finished vehicle.

The panels have to be pressed, welded together, painted and then all the other bits are bolted on. I'm sure you will agree that this isn't a five minute process.

Also, they don't build on Saturday's & Sunday's. So it is really a six day process. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.
