Perhaps Rain-X has some sort of exclusive distribution agreement with PepBoys here in the States for those Latitude blades. They are basically impossible to find through any online dealers (pepboys.com included) and aren't even mentioned on Rain-X's web site, yet every PepBoys store here has them readily available on huge aisle displays, along with their cheaper Weatherbeater blades. They retail for US$19.99/ea (I got them both for that price with a "Buy 1 get 1 free" coupon), which is still one hell of a deal compared to Land Rover's so-so replacements. They snap on perfectly and look to be of very high quality, they aren't silicone. They were totally quiet when I tested them, but we haven't had any real rain here since, well, last year...

I have my RRS booked in for its first service Tomorrow, I spoke to my dealer about the noisy wipers and they said quire firmly that they are not cover under warranty, its due to have other warranty issues sorted but i dont hold much hope of getting the wipers sorted Crying or Very sad

they are here....

Ill quote you tomorrow, doubt it will make any difference, why should be different in other countries, rain is rain

Check with MDP... he might have claimed the whole arm under warranty, I think.

Anyway, my first claim was when the blades became noisy. Second time around the bloody thing just tore... . Evil or Very Mad
I would say its a quality problem.

Just got the car back, new wipers fitted under warranty Very Happy

Success at last no more noise.

Envoy, I know this could be fraught, but if you happen to speak to your dealer again, can you enquire what their claim procedure for wiper blades is with Landrover?
Dealer here in Luxembourg says outright what you were told at first viz. no warranty for wiper lades because he cannot in turn claim from LR. No amount of quoting Bobby/MDP mad a jot of a difference. Even tried the full arm replacement method but was refused as they claim there's nothing wrong with the arms/settings!

Bigdwarf, I got the invoice yesterday and had a look, i thought they may have charged me, but no they didnt, so they either replaced them for free or they will claim them from L/R. If they replaced them for free it might be because they value our custom, as both myself and Landlord use them, and we have between us five Landrover vehicles. I did get a quote for the service beforehand, and even managed to knock them down on the price, so they didnt sneak them on to the invoice.

If i were you i would keep on at your dealer, mine did take some persuading. some of my Previous cars

Hi umbertob

I am still waiting for a reply from RAINX ............... however, if it never happens Rolling Eyes ... I'm not holding my breath - then would it be possible for you to post a pair from the STATES - I could send a cheque inc postage for fast air mail - or you could send me a link to an ebay listing for a "buy it now" through Paypal - plus your costs of course.

I will try anything once Embarassed ...... well almost anything Wink

I just want SILENT wipers Sad

PS. to all...... the replacement arm/wipers has improved the situation , but not cured it.

HI GUYS
Well my RRS was booked in this morning for noisy wipers i was in last week and they assessed my problem ,they said i needed the arm replaced and two new wipers,so when i arrived at reception the service team said "we know that we are replacing the arm but how would you like to pay for the wiper blades"i could'nt believe my ears i said "I only bought my range rover in September," no way i was paying for these,so she went and checked to see if they were under waranty and what do you know(THEY WERE).
Anyway when i got my RRS back they told me it wasnt the arm after all it was the motor thats needs replacing.
So my noisy wipers are still there hopefully next week will end the noise "who knows"
I will keep you all informed Range rover vogue 3.6 tdv8 Gone

At least Rain-X's web site now acknowledges the Latitude wiper blades exist. http://www.rainx.com/
