You may already be doing this if you car doesn't start first time but when you insert the key do you leave the self check system to complete it's cycle and make the gong sound? It only takes a few seconds longer but it allows the various sensors to do their job before starting. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Like Josh here - just over 3,000km and no complaints. Found three blemishes on the paint (two on the roof and one on the bonnet) but not major faults. Otherwise, the car runs beautifully - no knocks, no scraping noises, no squealing parking brakes...

Rad, do you know there is a tech note / fix issued for this? Ask you dealer to fix it. They put two rubber stops on the upper tailgate, remove some part, lubricate all the hinges and polish out the scatches. RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof |

Thanks for the info.....to be honest I gave up using the window hatch and just open the full door. Get my V8 TDi in a few months which has a soft close feature....and assume they will have sorted out the window close on the new model! |

Aha! Mine does that. It sounds like a stone caught between the front disc and backing plate. It doesn't happen every-time. It must be quite loud outside the car because it makes people turn and look. Anyone know what's causing it? My gripes; Appauling paintwork Probably the worst panel alignment of any manufacturer in recent history Suspension glitches RRS 4.2 S/C. Zermatt. Tints. Stormers. 150+ paint defects, wonkey bonnet, scratches, detached doorseal. suspension faults. To sum it up, a 60k pile of cr4p! |

I'm very pleased with my SE. Iit was built 3 months before launch day and was supplied without the Fuel Burning Heater. That was fixed at the service this year when the dealer installed one under warranty - apart from that mine has been into the dealers numerous times at their request and my convenience for various ECU upgrades for it's routine service. Like all my previous Land Rovers (this is number 6) it has not given me a single thing to whinge about. It is smooth, fast enough for me, quiet and economical. Would I have another? Certainly and I would also recommend it to anybody looking at a G Class Merc, an ML, a Q7 or an X3 or X5, in my experiemce it is a far better car than any of them. I have had no dealer problems and when I have had a small problem it has been repaired on the spot while I have waited.

Pretty much the same as my experiences over a year of RRS ownership too. By the same token, Mrs S has had two FLs over the past 4 years and not a single problem with those either.

Another thanks - I was starting to consider chopping it in before it fell to pieces... Like you Tim I have experience of ML's and Cayennes - good cars but they are just not LR's - bit on the boring side. Good on the road but useless off road. At least the RRS tries to be good at both and does a pretty good job.
