Air compressor noise at the back of the car

Has any one noticed, ounce the car (RRS P440E) is parked/stopped, right after turning off the car, a kind of noise of an air compressor running during a bit more than 30 seconds ? The car is stopped, in access height mode with no move of the air suspension. The noise comes from the left side of the car, close to the rear. Any idea, and is this normal ?

Yes sure it's not a fan. It is the same noise as a compressor used for inflating tires.

The air compressor on the L461 is much noiser than on prior models, I am on my second L461 now and both exhibit the noisy compressor. RRS Autobiography P460E

My D300 has a loud compressor. You can hear it running when the stop/start system is active and the rest of the car is silent. Regards

1. Go to settings
2. Vehicle
3. Convenience
4. Vehicle access
5. Turn off automatic Access height

All three of my L461 compressors have been loud, much louder than on my L494, L405 and L319s. That's one are where "progress" has not been made otherwse the mark is very quiet. RRS Autobiography P460E
