Yes sure it's not a fan. It is the same noise as a compressor used for inflating tires. |

The air compressor on the L461 is much noiser than on prior models, I am on my second L461 now and both exhibit the noisy compressor. RRS Autobiography P440e |

My D300 has a loud compressor. You can hear it running when the stop/start system is active and the rest of the car is silent. Regards

Could it be the car lowering itself when ignition is turned off to make it easier for getting out. Andy.
