Thanks any problems with the fit? Did they come to your home to do it and how long did it take? |

I had mine fitted by Autoglass with a genuine LR screen, no problems, just couldn’t drive it for a couple of hours. No problems since fitment over 12 months ago.

Thanks everyone. NFU use National Windscreens now, so it’s due to go in next Friday, there was no quibble re OEM glass though the excess goes up to £114. And they say it can take up to 4 hours ! Hope they have WiFi 😢 |

So brief update for those interested! National Windscreens couldn’t get an OEM part so I had to go with an aftermarket part as they called it, as the crack was propagating so much I was getting worried about heated screens and freezing mornings! To be fair they did a very good job took about three hours. I ended up having a chat to the tech who turned out to be their training manager, so luckily he’d done a few of these before. He said they’re much more difficult than the previous generation, because as well as the screen being glued in, it’s in fact screwed in as well down each side. There are also at least 4 cameras depending on spec and they have to use a third party to calibrate them as JLR are so obsessed by security that they now won’t release their software to anyone! Anyhow it all seems to work with the various cameras all seemingly ok, road signs and rains sensors all doing what they should. So fingers crossed. |
