Sorry, silly question, do you need to change the antenna after changing to the DAB+ module.

I've just fitted a DAB+ module but waiting on the connector.

Only one minor glitch I’ve noticed is that when switching from normal radio to DAB, which I don’t do very often, the DAB doesn’t come straight on. You need to press the DAB button then switch the radio off and on again. DAB is then automatically selected.

4 or 5 days in and virtually no drop outs, instant reception, lots more channels and great sound quality.

Really pleased with the mod.

The minor glitch can probably be tweaked out using GAPIID and is understandable given I’m using a newer module in an older car and possibly from a different make. Col or Andy K - any thoughts ?

Unfortunately I'm still waiting for the connector to be delivered. Evri emailed me this morning saying it's in there depot but will be delayed, typical !

Im Same Jabba, Should have been delivered yesterday but Evri driver failed to deliver it.

What DAB module did you get originally Jase ? Reading back on the thread it seems that your original issue is what I have. I think it’s just a config file or something and not an issue for me, as it takes 2 seconds to turn the audio off and on again.

I’d much rather have that than no DAB at all.

If your original replacement module is old school DAB, it sounds like the head units get a bit muddled whenever the module is switched out.

I wonder if this is the same with other modules on the car such as seats etc.

Yes it seems that could be case, My original just stopped working so i replaced it with another dab unit old style which has the gremlins, Have to turn dial on and off after i select dab or it worked select it, Then its selected you have to adjust volume for sound to work, So i could manage that but might aswell upgrade to dab+ and hopefully it all works which i will report back once this connecter turns up today. I think a hard reset negative to positive on battery connections might work for the gremlin if its all confused, Another thing is dab stays on when engine is off and turned off until you lock car so a few things going off.

My replacement is DAB+ and I have exactly the same as you, so it seems that the quirk applies to any DAB module that gets changed over, irrespective of whether it’s DAB or DAB+.

I’m sure one of the wise old elves will be along shortly.

Right, So your dab+ upgrade is not operating correctly? Have you tried a hard reset of the power, terminals off battery and bridge together which drains all power out of ecu’s etc ? Thats what i will do if my new dab+ is the same.
