In belgium, insurance is about 3K/Year, secure tracker is mandatory.

Process was ok, ordered the car, but I checked this week, since I have not heard from the dealer since August. They informed me the car will be built 29/3 (which is in 1 month).
they would have sold me some extra options if they would have called me

Latest I was told this week by around 5 dealers was there are vehicles available in the LR system which can be ordered this month and be delivered in September to your build spec with decent discounts circa 6% + the £2.5k FDA if taken on a LR pcp, if you can take a stock build car this quarter, like I have, you should get an even better deal!

I was quoted 6 months on order signing day….. then ‘at least 6 months’ a month later.
Seems priority goes to Stateside orders (something to do with balance of payments or financing storm shadow donations to our brothers in Ukrain).
Mentalty I have now marked my calendar at 1 yr from 17Oct24 signing date.
Breath holding can seriously damage your health !
Oh one tip…. having agreed a trade-in price, I baulked at signing until the salesman had to get approval from above - and agreed to honour that price until delivery.

You've done very well to get them to hold a trade-in price for a year, I guess you have it in writing. Tim
RRS sold and replaced with a Skoda Kodiaq after appalling RR Dealer experience and LR inability to supply new cars in any sort of reasonable time frame..

So JLR have obviously picked unreliable suppliers - if their totally excesive delays are caused by paint choices or Meridian sound option…..
I’m making changes to my Will to ensure that the kids are aware.

So powertrain factory on short time working !
The underlying problem seems to be chips (with everything)… so JLR should have thought outside the box and opted for alternative offerings, or a more reliable supplier than Meridian - or most of us will be in nursing homes as delivery delays go exponential, and those of us blessed with the gift of hearing - may have lost this faculty by the never never promises of a hard delivery date.
Wonder if Nostradamus featured this suicidal situation of JLR’s business model in one of his quatrains ?

Ordered mine on 31st Dec 24, build date 14th March 25, I didn't believe the 12 weeks they were quoting we shall see.... , final lock in date is tomorrow!
