Hi Guys, I ordered my RRS in March and gave the spec in May - Dynamic SE P440e. Currently, the dealer cannot provide any sign of a build or delivery date. What's your experience?

Same spec as you, ordered launch day still no update.
They did say some low spec had been given slots but that was it.

Good to know I'm not alone...

As I stated over in the other thread, i was expecting confirmation last week that my order had completed build but instead delayed until late November but thats assuming the chip shortages resolve themselves. Obviously no guarantee they will in the short term. At least ill be a 2023 registration.

Got this today from my dealer.

As you are likely aware, Jaguar Land Rover and other automotive manufacturers continue to experience significant

supply chain disruptions due to the global shortage of semiconductors and its impact on production.


Regrettably the situation has become more complex, and we are experiencing further impact on our already

compromised supply chain. While we are not alone in facing these challenges, our products are amongst the most

technologically advanced on the market so our requirement for semiconductors is higher than other manufacturers.

Furthermore, with much of our vehicle content and associated parts being bespoke, we are facing additional

challenges in restoring supply.


As a result, production of vehicles containing the Meridian™ Sound System, Meridian™ 3D Surround Sound System,

and Meridian™ Signature Sound System face further delays. At this time, we are unfortunately unable

to say when

build will be possible.


Please rest assured that you are our highest priority. We are working together with your Retailer to ensure you

receive regular updates on the status of your vehicle and will do what we can, as quickly as we can, to resolve these

delays. I sincerely hope that you are prepared to wait for your Land Rover, but should you wish to discuss your

options, please do speak with your Retailer.

Ive had the same letter all builds have the Meridian™ Sound System so I don't know what they are building.

Its misleading when you order on estimated times, the issues explained in the letter were ongoing way before the car was available to order.

Don't hold your breath for RRS delivery. Living near Wolverhampton and the JLR powertrain facility, I know of employees there. One of them who usually works on i6 assembly has been sent home for the 3rd week running.......

Not good - I hope he is still getting paid!

I believe that is what our deposits have been used for.

Basically, if you go for the base audio system, there is a chance your car may get built in 9-12 months of placing your order.

My problem is I dont know what parts they may, in 3 or 4 months time, fail to get hold of, further delaying the delivery.


I am probably gonna cancel my order and go for a BMW x5 45e

I am afraid there will be many cancellations in the car trade over the next few months due to the current climate .,
I currently have two friends who have already cancelled — namely Porsche / Mercedes’
Seems there are more priorities than a new car - mortgages/ heat / food etc .
Hopefully it will all get sorted in the near future - and we can again enjoy our cars .

Interested to see LR have updated the configurator today to show availability of different build specs and also to remove Meridian Surround sound from the AB spec with no upgrade option.

They are still saying 6-9 months.

We will see.

That’s strange - the letter states the Meridian Sound removed but my configurator shows included.

Trouble is what will they do if they can't supply even the standard specification Meridian?
