Looks to be Vin No. Dependent, is yours within the range?

Yours is part of the TSB VIN range so it’ll all be as it should be.

Thanks for clearing that up I had visions of me getting it jacked up only to find issues.

As your vin. is within the affected chassis range, have you actually checked that the oil drain mod has been done? would like to think it had by now though.

Got home early so squeezed under and it's the original long pipe.

I'm a bit concerned about the oil I've used I used the correct spec 5w30 c1 but have read and seen videos of people using thicker oils as it is too thin.

I’d be doubtful the oil change affected anything. The drain pipes seem to be fickle when they fail. I changed mine before it had an issue just because I could. The annoying part of the job is getting the starter out/out of the way to get to the plug in the block. Be sure to follow the instructions in the TSB and drain the oil out of the intercooler.

Main thing is just let the oil drain out of the intercooler. Definitely don’t bother trying to remove it from the car. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

Well what a nightmare that was 9 hours to do the pipe part i couldn't remove the starter due to the active roll bar pipes so had to just loosen it and work around it.

Sounds about right. I think it took me around four hours to get mine done. My car was on a lift though with a shop full of tools. I also have the ACE lines, as you found, the best you can do is get the starter out of the way.
