Have they replaced the rail the fuel pressure sensor goes into? Just curious as it’s been revised twice. Could also have something in it from the fuel pump failure. That’s where I’d be looking with the list of things you’ve done so far. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

I am currently away overseas from home, so I cannot be 100% sure. But something like the GapII tool may be able to monitor fuel pressures in real-time. That would be of help hopefully. |

Hi Well the specialist it was at changed the sensor only for an aftermarket one just too see but it made no difference so they put the original one back in , then the dealer changed it for a genuine one but they come from Land Rover with the fuel rail attached !, as like a hole peace unit but at about £400 pound ! But still made no difference to why is shows low and sometimes high fuel pressure. 2017-Discovery 5 TDV6 HSE 2007-Range Rover sport “ endless money pit “ 2005-Discovery 3 |

Hi Yes I got an IID TOOL like 5 years ago , one of the best things I ever bought especially when you have two Land Rovers it’s almost used weekly ! It’s great for reading the fault codes and looking at live data but all I can tell is that the fuel rail pressure is running two low ,starts of fine at 27,000 kpa once the car is first started but after a few minutes of driving the pressure slowly drops down the only 23,000 kpa and it shows very rough pressure when left to ideal ? So yeah it’s great but don’t think it can help point to the cause ? Photo of the fuel pressure after car has warmed up and been restarted “ pressure graph are always just rougher once car has warmed up “ 2017-Discovery 5 TDV6 HSE 2007-Range Rover sport “ endless money pit “ 2005-Discovery 3 |

So I was hoping to have my car back over three months ago now as at the time I was told that they where going to change the “ nonreturn fuel valve on the top of the fuel tanks “ never heard about this valve before but they belevied it was letting too much fuel return back in to the tank form the T Peas at the filter housing. Once this was changed the car then needed road testing but of course it had run out of mot so it needed retesting before any road tests could be done apparently, but of course the car failed its mot just on little things really , two tyres where cracked probably for sitting in one place for so long ! , two brake hoses , one drive shaft boot , and both headlights where pointing too low .

So if it’s not the fuel pumps not injectors not the wiring not the rail sensor not the fuel lines not the ecu not the non-return valve not the filters.

So after speaking to the master technician again today the low pressure system seems to be fine as it’s showing 0.5 bar on the pressure gauge on the bleed valve but he still thinks when test driving it’s feeling like it’s not getting enough fuel , so if it’s getting 0.5 bar what else could be perverting it from building fuel pressure when accelerating ?

For completeness, the fuel pressure does not tell a complete story. The delivery volume also needs to be measured.
