Potential RRS buyer

At present I've a BMW X5 but looking to change it and the RRS has caught my attention.

With this being a forum based on fanatics I expect some biased but what's the genuine views on the motors?

The one I've enquired about is 20 plate from a main dealer and the HSE Dynamic with 32k on the clock priced at £39000.

You hear horror stories about RRSs- engine failures, coolant issues and wiring problem but are they all as bad as people state?

Can someone fill me in on the pros cons dos and don'ts. Thanks Smile

I’ve got a 2017 autobiography dynamic v8 supercharged, with 40k on the clock. I’ve had it 4 years. In that time, the phone module thing was failed, and the front propshaft, both fixed under warranty.

It’s supremely comfortable, fast, handles well for a big car (the dynamic really does make a difference does 26-27mpg on a run and 21-23mpg locally.

Big service about £800 from a main dealer, or £500 from a good Indy.

The infotainment is a bit slow but it does have car play, and mine only has 3G for weather traffic which is a pain as it’s to be switched off but the one you’re looking should, I hope be 4g (worth checking).

It’s as quiet as a Bentley and generally a lovely thing!

Buy wisely and you’ll love it.

Maybe speak to one of the Indy's and ask if they have any customers who are changing cars. They'll know which cars are good.
