06 supercharged not starting

I'm guessing the fuel pump, will check the weekend, Does anyone know the part number for the pump i need please.

The car tries to start, starter motor keeps going, sometimes it does start other times it won't.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Bali Blue

I chased a similar fault on my v8 d3 same engine and fuel system.ptetty much. It had me going for a while very random it was to like you I was about to suspect the fuel pump.

It turned out to be a faulty battery cell on a not very old battery dropping the cranking voltage to low. Causing the cps to not work

Get a multi meter on the battery and check cranking voltage.

A new battery from local motor factors cured it.

Have a read

Quick update
Don't think its battery, Voltage seems fine, read it on battery and the plug in OBD tester.
Seems to only not start when its cold, when it does start theres a big plume of smoke Shocked ,
I've a horrible feeling its valve guide seals on left bank as you look at engine, once the smoke clears/engine clears its all fine. When the engine is hot all starts fine and no smoke whatsoever.
What ever has happened inside head, its happened quick. Do the seals split ?.
I've checked all spark plugs and all look good, was kinda hoping to see a dis-coloured one.

Are the heads easy to get off with engine in ?

or is it SVR time, me thinks the latter.

Any offers on a good runner, apart from when its cold, Ive owned it for ten years Rolling with laughter

the reason for the left bank, the exhaust looks a bit more carboned up that side

England 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

If blue smoke it could be oil

If black smoke it could be overfueling.

A battery disconnect over night could be an idea to reset fuel trims

an charge battery

i guess the heads could be removed while in the car, if you can get to the rear head bolts.

Could start with exhaust manifold (go in through wheel arch) to see if any oil trace from one cylinder

Is it normal for engine to stop when the oil cap is removed ?

Removed the supercharger and intercoolers today for a look down ports, its all very oily, looks like a lot of oil being sucked in from the oil breather/pcv pipe on the top left rocker cover, below the injectors was clean, but would expect this from the fuel spraying in, gonna have a look tomorrow at the closed valves, see if any oil has run down the valve,

Well, replaced the pcv valve, but turned out to be fuel contamination. The fuel station admitted liability, was also hundreds of posts on facebook concerning the said garage, regarding broken down cars.
Have now been refunded most of the cost of parts and fuel i spent by the company that supplys the garage.
