Spacers and smaller wheel sizes

I purchased my RRS L320 2007 4.2SC with 22" wheels already on it...they are pants! Nice for the highway but as soon as they look at a bump or a bit of gravel they show their weakness...

Ideally I would have 18" on there but I know this is an issue with the larger Brembo front brakes. Apparently even most 19" wont fit.

My 22" wheels came with some spacers already on the car to clear the Brembos, would these spacers also allow use of 18" and a bigger range of 19" wheels?

Cheers!

I doubt it

Spacers push the wheel out.

The overall brake size diameter can't be reduced with spacers.

Go for some standard 20" supercharged wheels. Can't really go wrong then.

These are likely to fit. Not expensive to try and a useful spare

I have seen the below 19" Defender wheels available, does anyone know if these fit over the larger brembo brakes?

Also seen the two 20" versions below, if either go over the brembos would be great options I think. Pretty sure they are both Defender wheels.

I couldn't really find any 20" SC wheels quickly

my eyes have gone wonky from home much I have been searching for wheels/tyres that I am happy with!

The 20" defender alloys I posted above are accessible and seem they should fit however now I have been told that the tyres may be wrong size. They have 255/60/R20 new Pirelli Scorpion Zero... is anyone running these on their L320 and know they will fit. They are not on this spec sheet I found when looking for compatible wheels but I presume that list is not exhaustive...

I went with some second hand 20" alloys with 255/55R20 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac and removed the spacer. They are almost perfect except at full lock they ever so slightly touch the chassis on the inner of the arch. Is it safe to grind out a small amount here so there is zero rub?

They aren't perfect at all, then, are they?

If you have to to grind bits off the car then they don't fit. Simple. Really, it is simple. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I wouldn’t grind any metal away.

Avoid full lock.
If they do rub that will do it for you!

You may find some other wheels in 3 months

Yeah my view is to run these and see if it causes any bother in real use then go from there. It is so very very slight the touch so I am not fussed. Thanks all.
