Yes it looks a very smart job, and presumably opens up the pipe replacement to a more DIY solution rather than body off job?

Yes, definitely a DIY mechanic job and much easier and cheaper than lifting the body. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

While we have so many interested people on the thread have i not heard of removing the pump ,fitting a shorter belt to disable the system. What about warning lights.
My neighbour has RRS and the ace pipes are so rusty I dare not touch them ..just coated them with marine epoxy then waxoil and spiral wrap and left him to it ... Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

ARC pipes are not body off to replace Thumbs Up

I've removed the ARC system on plenty of 2.7s, a few 3.0s and sussed the 3.6, but never done it

" Removed the ACE system "

Do you mean removed and replaced or removed totally . More details if the latter appreciated. Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

Is that a “not a body off, but still need to lift?” There’s no way I could get my pipes in on the 5.0 without bending the pipes, lifting the body a few inches or cutting them, the bends in the pipes exceeded the space available. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

I have no idea about your issue but when my ACE pipes needed changing I didn’t lift the body, I bought some 3500bar couplers from the local agriculture machinery supplier and cut the pipes and fitted them that way. Some have managed to fit them without even cutting them but I didn’t have enough room.

It cost £200 for the pipes and £12 for couplers I think it was.

Hi All,

Does anyone know the pipe size of the ARC pipes. Looking to pick up some compression joiners and should imagine a 10mm coupler will do but thought as you have done this job before you could possibly know for sure the size…. Thanks in advance.

It’s been quite a while but I think it was 10mm. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Zermatt Silver

Hi All,

I'm starting to get a bit desperate about these ACE pipes now. I know, its been mentioned before that part # LR014592 is out of stock everywhere and has been so for at least a year. I've chased around every supplier I can find, UK and US, and always the same answer: on backorder, no ETA from JLR. IMO, this is totally unacceptable on the part of JLR not to have had their suppliers make another batch but, that is what it is. I've contacted JLR Parts directly and they tell me they've put it on priority, whatever that means.... So, the car is now stuck, with no parts to fix and I'm not sure what to do.

Following up on another thread from @PhilnDeb on https://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/post635609.html#635609 his suggestion was to use part #RQA500018 and get the connectors modified, which seems to be a runner. But, now that part is also universally unavailable too.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can recover this situation? I wondered about contacting the JLR supplier as I'm sure they buy them in but, I can't trace who they are. I also thought that I can't be the only one in this situation and there must be a demand for this pattern. Any thoughts or do I just scrap the car for parts? Shocked Cheers,

Stuart.

Final thoughts on this to round off my experiences with JLR and the part being out of stock for over a year. I got the car back today and I managed to fit a different part # that fitted perfectly, without any alterations at all. It is LR019908, Genuine OEM LR019908 - Land Rover Kit - Repair (LR019908) part for Range Rover Sport 2005 - 2009. Authentic Land Rover Part. It fits my 2012 with no issues, no cutting pipes or anything and its in stock with JLR.

Don't get caught out with this back order nonsense. I'm furious with JLR for this.

Thanks to @philndeb and @britplumber though. Without their thinking on this, I would have be f Censored ed! Cheers,

Stuart.
