Hi pal.

My 2018 Rr sport 306dt has just broke the crank after only 50k

I'm after some advice on garages that can sort it for me.

I'm based in Northwest but happy to travel.

Obviously it's out ov warranty.

Matt

Hello newby here. Just brought my first rrs. 3.0tdv6 2013. 100k Owned about 2 weeks and now starting to notice minor issues. Il have a good look around the site when I'm off my phone. Sure all my issues will be listed 😂. The one that's bothering me the most is twice now when launching it off the lights it's smokes like mad. Clears with in a mile but ABIT concerned. Sat nav don't work. Passenger front door doesn't unlock unless I sand next to it to open. The smoke is a concern the rest are 1st world issues 😁.
Anyway I guess il be a regular from now on. Look forward to getting to know everyone .

Hi am new to site. Owned a RR P38 4.0 litre 1997 Vogue for 15 years and sold it to a friend last year who took it around Iceland off roading for 3 months, after replacing the air suspension for springs- it made it after a couple of repairs and is back in UK. Have owned a RRS 2017 SDV6 since 2019 it is coming up to 100,000 miles, up until last year had been trouble free but started with limp mode issue related to DPF. I did clean dpf injector but it turned out to be dpf pump. Since then also had new throttle body, new intake manifold, both EGRs replaced and new ac condenser so has been a bit of an expensive 12 months. Oh also had to replace a window regulator and the motors on the deployable steps. Suppose cannot expect to get through 100,000 miles without something being replaced.
It is HSE without low range box. In 15 years owning the RR only used the low box 3 times to get out of very muddy field and preferred the mechanical non locking differential on RRS HSE as has proven to be very good for getting across grassy fields and up unmade lanes that we used daily and better on tarmac.
Have bought a OBD scan tool to help service car but also need a workshop manual, does anyone know where can get one from?

Hi All

Hi - I'm Pete: a prospective owner of an RRS.

Have had a number of RRs in the past - but not for many years (20+) - and never had the Sport.

Our retirement treat is going to be a nearly new RRS P460e (we think) - when the house sale completes. But somewhat worried regarding all the things that seem to go wrong with these brutes! I hear such conflicting stories.

We live in a rural area of North Wales with a very steep hill and lots of muddy lanes. Seriously looked at the new Defender 110 P400e, loved it, but cannot live with its mpg (my friend gets 17mpg) when the battery depletes (after c.20 miles!!!). RRS seems to be much better suited to our needs - especially as most of our motoring is <50mile trips and we are getting solar to reduce charging costs for the PHEV.

A preliminary exploration of insurance, despite 50 years motoring without ever a claim, seems to be around the £1700pa mark! Ow! Our superfast BMW 530d MSport XDrive touring is £630!

Are we doing the right thing? Would welcome some advice.

Thanks

Pete

Of course you are - there is nothing to compare to a RR and the new model RRS is fantastic and by far the best yet. Another class to the German options.

Oops! I love it.

Hi all. New accidental RRS owner here.

Lots of RRSs here in cape town, most appeared to be diesel and the engine or model spec is so hard to read off the little badge in the rear I just couldn't be bothered. Had no idea they made a performance version.
Was looking for a v8 upgrade to my wife's V6 merc e350 cab when I browsed my way into a 2014MY 5.0SC. I couldn't believe it. I'd been in some rip snorting roadsters before but this was an SUV!

Anyway long story short I've owned it for over a year now and still love it.
