Can you not just do the repair yourself mate? It's honestly not a hard job although easier if you can get the car up a height on a lift. You just need to cut the damaged section out with a small dremel cutting wheel, clean the pipe up a little so the new connections get a good seal then fit the replacement pipe and connectors/compression fittings. |

Jamo1282, thank you but I’m female and have no idea what to do! Don’t even know how to get to the leaky bit! |

Get the overalls on lol. Sorry I can't be of more help. All you need is someone who likes tinkering with cars (a friend maybe)and show them the fix I did which I got off another member on here and away you go. |

Do you know if the RQA500120 part number will fit a late model L320 (2012) SDV6?

Well we have a right dilemma! Great that the part is here but not so great that the garage have now advised us due to body off and risks of other parts failing the repair could cost us between £4000 to £5000! So at best we have cost of £1500 if all goes well and it doesn’t need valves and rear pipes too and at worst £5000 (and the rest!) and that’s as long as everything else works as it’s been stood for 7 months doing nothing!

I don't know for certain as have not ever done the job, but going by other members post's on the subject it can be done with a slight body lift, personally I think the garage is covering their own a**e if they screw up, and shafting you or don't actually want the job.
