ACE Pipes LR015144

We are still trying to get our RRS MY2011 fixed as it’s been off-road since October 2023 awaiting LR part LR015144 Big Cry .

Getting nowhere with LR customer relations despite ordering on critical and raising a complaint. The dealer we have ordered through had 15 on back order before us at the beginning, we are now down to 11 before us as a couple have dropped off the list.

Tried to get someone to fit the Pirtek repair as Jamo has done on here but no one will do this for us, so now looking at the RQA500120 part. Although these don’t seem to be in stock either but if they were are these a direct part for the LR015144?

Is there anywhere, up North, where we could get our car fixed, even if the pirtek part repair, just to get us going? We are in West Yorkshire but could get her towed to be repaired.

Any advice on where we can buy parts in stock or tips to get the part sooner would be greatly appreciated! It’s not good for the old girl to be sat not moving for so long Big Cry

Can you not just do the repair yourself mate? It's honestly not a hard job although easier if you can get the car up a height on a lift. You just need to cut the damaged section out with a small dremel cutting wheel, clean the pipe up a little so the new connections get a good seal then fit the replacement pipe and connectors/compression fittings.

Get the overalls on lol. Sorry I can't be of more help. All you need is someone who likes tinkering with cars (a friend maybe)and show them the fix I did which I got off another member on here and away you go.

RQA500120 is a direct replacement (and cheaper Confused) than LR015144

We've 3 sets of each on order for whatever comes in first

Thanks Disco_mikey Thumbs Up

Where’s the best place to order the RQA500120 from? I’ll keep the order in at the dealers and take whichever comes first!

Hi to all on the thread

First post and I'm stuck in the same boat regarding sourcing front ACE pipes for my 2012 RRS.

Harwoods Chichester my nearest RR dealer has 4 on a waiting list since January this year, and no updates from Land Rover as to when these back orders will be fulfilled.

I was hoping to get a set as the body is coming off soon for a few jobs, and wanted to get these swapped out at the same time.

Looks like I'm just going to have to sit it out, and fit once available using the partial lift method mentioned don here elsewhere.

Extensive Google search has drawn a blank also......

We had an RQA500120 turn up 2 days ago

Still no sign of the LR015144, but at least we'll get the car done and gone, and a spare set in stock when they do turn up

EDIT: Both ordered at the same time Wink

Do you know if the RQA500120 part number will fit a late model L320 (2012) SDV6?

Many thanks

Well we have a right dilemma! Great that the part is here but not so great that the garage have now advised us due to body off and risks of other parts failing the repair could cost us between £4000 to £5000! So at best we have cost of £1500 if all goes well and it doesn’t need valves and rear pipes too and at worst £5000 (and the rest!) and that’s as long as everything else works as it’s been stood for 7 months doing nothing! Big Cry

The car is probably only worth £5000 if that, so the thought of spending more than it’s worth to repair as we are looking to sell it anyway seems madness. Been told the scrap value is £386! Is there anywhere that will take it for parts or where we can advertise for parts and get more money for it?

Those of you who have had the arc pipes replaced how much did you pay? Did you also have to have the valves replaced? Was it a full body off? Direct message me if you don’t want to put costs etc on here. Just looking for any other options or if the risk is worth it to repair. Question Banging Head Thanks everyone.

I don't know for certain as have not ever done the job, but going by other members post's on the subject it can be done with a slight body lift, personally I think the garage is covering their own a**e if they screw up, and shafting you or don't actually want the job.

Cheers
Col

Not sure what to make of that TBH...
