Should I sell my 2016 SDV8 and buy 2020 SDV8 ?

I want the SDV8 for towing my van. I am thinking since 2020 was the last production year perhaps I should buy one, and as it happens I have found a good one well optioned.

Question is what are the mechanical differences between the 2016 and 2020 models that improve the vehicle. I know of the cosmetic and electronic changes but not sure of other changes besides add Blue. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

** EDIT ** below is applicable in UK only - looks like you are in Australia

If your current V8 is not Euro6 there are advantages in Low Emmission Zones

The newer one will be eligible for lower Excise Duty from 6 years old (Tax comes down to circa £185 per year) MY17 RRS 4.4d V8 Autobiography - Aintree Green (also referred to on Topix as British Racing Green)

Ad Blue. You have answered your own question. I only read horror stories about that added cat Censored . I shall keep driving my 2015 diesel till it falls apart.. 😇

I know of the add Blue but my considerations are mechanical improvements if any. Wear and tear I can replace, engine re build I would not want but 210,000 k's on a diesel doing longer trips is just run in.

The price to upgrade is $60,000 here in Oz which means a lot of replacement parts if the only difference is ICE stuff. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.
