Yes, the rear section. I bought the faulty one from Amazon for £169 and it was on perhaps 4-5 weeks. Reason for changing it was the centre bearing/bushing was away. Genuine RR prop back on it now though. |

I could replicate the noise by turning at the propshaft by hand underneath the car. Not as loud or definitive but it gave clear indication. |

That sounds the exact same issue as I had. I was 100% convinced it was the front end somewhere. When under the car and twisting at the propshaft by hand I couldn't get it to make the exact noise or even really feel much play but I did get the hollow 'tingy' strange noise for like 1 click if that makes sense? |

Yes i didnt feel much play in mine to be honest and i cant get it to fault whilst i run it on the ramp as it needs to be under load.

Under load was when I noticed it most. At end up it was quite distinct. I'm sure that will be the issue with yours as well. |

I notice the noise on mine the most in reverse to be honest. As im reversing into my parking space at home. Its safe to say that i was very annoyed when i heard it the day i replaced the front diff 2010 RRS, TDV6
