Yikes! A quick look at the Interweb and it’s quite an issue with Land Rover products… I’ve not really been paying attention and some companies are asking for stupidly high premiums. |

Looks like you have had a lucky escape……Mine more than doubled. Went up £420 from last year and couldn’t get it any cheaper anywhere else |

I misread the quote, it’s gone up £101 to £297. Less expensive than some but OTOH, I’m now retired and don’t travel many miles each year. It still seems a lot for a 13 year old car though. |

I've been looking for a new policy on a new RRS. Other than companies I've never heard of, so far only Admiral (I'm not keen on them) and JLR will offer any policy at all. Directline, AVIVA, LV, Churchill etc. all just a flat no. Seems like some will renew if already have a policy but no new policies.

The companies that you have never heard of are probably the same underwriters as the ones you have heard of!

This is what JLR are saying publicly - the insurers aren't using the real situation when they're quoting. The latest RRS is seen as being secure but the insurers just see "Land Rover" and run away screaming. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

I have just renewed (end Jan) with AXA, last year £580, this year £925 which whilst not the cheapest quote, it was close enough to remain loyal to AXA. MY17 RRS 4.4d V8 Autobiography - Aintree Green (also referred to on Topix as British Racing Green) |
