Eh up all,

For some time the rear seat belt has dropped to the side and “ knocks” on the trim 🤬

Why there’s no clip to retain it ive no idea.🤔

So being bored today took a piece of webbing from an old rusk sack and modded up a retainer to trial.

Looped it around the belt then temp fix around the headrest which actually looks ok

If anyone has done anything any better let me know.

Worked a treat let’s see how it lasts - will modify if needed but no more rattling so far 😁👍

As the belts get older the fabric gumms up with dirt ....clean full length with detergent dry and spray with silicone spray ( not wd40) they will then run back fine and you wont get the rattle Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

Never did really workout why they did away with that clip on the facelift cars, as said probably saved 10p per vehicle. Fortunately I don't have rear seat passengers very often these day's so just leave mine plugged in.

Never realised the prior year models had a clip, can you retrofit it rather than my “mod”

Might look and work better in long term

The problem is I don't think they are listed separate in the parts list as they are sewn into the seat trim, but not totally sure on that one, so you may have to find a a earlier model in a breakers yard to get them.

Andy k - made these with Velcro so I can easily unclip 👍

Col - there ideal, I can mod something easily if I can get the plastic holders - will look on eBay 👍
