Ghost isn't 100% secure. Better than JLR security, but still has its issues

It all depends what circuit they have used .. the usual start inhibit wonāt work when the thieves are hitting the stop start circuitryā¦. |

I think that the correct way is to set it up on the gearbox.

Does it stay locked in Park? If not, it's towable and, with the engine running, the brakes work so you can tow it quite briskly if required. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

JLR could quite easily build a āghostā style immobiliser into the software requiring a PIN code to start the car or allow gear selection without owners having to spend a small fortune on aftermarket solutions. 2014 RRS AB Santorini Black |

From what I understand a Ghost installer can basically virginise a Ghost in the event a customer forgets their pin and has lost their card with the back door code for that unit. So is that is true it wouldnāt surprise me if thieves now have access to how to do this.
