My new RRS P460e SE Dynamic will be delivery next friday after 12,5 months with no price increase.
At the beginning, i ordered a P440e SE Dynamic. I changed only the color from dark blue to verasine blue, because dark blue stopped.

I haven’t got clue what’s going on. I got told by my dealer my build slot was 2nd of February then yesterday he rang me saying my orders still unslotted and offered me a giobi green cancellation in December. I missed the call so just dropped the dealer an email declining as I don’t want a green car and asking what happened to my build date but no reply. It’s becoming clear dealers haven’t got a clue what’s going on either.

I’ve used the same dealer for 25yrs, just collected my 12th car from them.

My salesman (we went to his wedding!!) gives me regular updates on my July 9th order of a D300 AB.

He went on holiday in late Sept and VISTA was clear of dates on my order.

On return from holiday on the 1st Oct, I had a call…..my LDOC date was 28th Aug (well gone but of no consequence), my build date was 10th Oct and I collected the car on the 31st Oct.

Original estimate was 6-9months from order i.e Jan - Apr 2024.

He had 5 other “earlies” to deal with as well (across all models).

He was as stunned as me!!!!

At least that’s the right way round and you got yours early. I’m going to have to find out what’s happened to my February build slot. This is my 4th new Land Rover product and it’s never been this shambolic, they really need to sort it out along with the insurance issues and everything else.

I’m not sure what LR can do about insurance. All “keyless entry” vehicles are as vulnerable, it’s the fact that RR’s are desirable that adds to the problem.

I’ve fitted a GHOST-2 to mine (the first time in five Sports) but the insurance weren’t interested on top of Incontrol Secure Tracker Pro (Thatcham Cat 5S) for the first three years.

I managed to insure my D300 AB for £850, up from £511 on my L494 last year but I am old, 31 yrs Advanced Driver and live in the rural South West.

I ordered my P440 in October 2022. My dealer is still telling me he has no news and cant give me any inidication of a date. Al he said recenrtly was if someone ordered new now it could take 18 - 24 months!!
Initially whenb I ordered they estimated 12 months but over 12 months in and I still have no idea on timescales.

Is this usual? Is this the same for others?
Surely there is a list out there somewhere with names & estmated dates on?
Have any of youhad any joy with chasing this up?

Final confirmation received. P460e ordered beginning of June 2023, car is being built this Friday 01/12 and will be at the dealer just before Xmas. So lead time will be 7 months.

Wow thats good, I have waited since Oct 2022 with no news....its crazy how random it seems and I dont understand why they cant give any news. There must be a list with nameson somewhere

I would guess it's down to the dealerships and how they deal with "the system". 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

According to the Land Rover website, lead times have reduced dramatically. When I ordered my P550e a few weeks ago, the lead time was 18-24 months. It is now showing 6-9 months.
