Disconnecting battery to clean body earths

Hi folks,

Silly question, I would like to clean all the body earths, well as many as I can, I just wondered if its ok to disconnect the battery for a few hours whilst working my way through them. Would it being disconnected for a whilse cause any issues.

I'm guessing radios aren't coded any more.

Many thanks

You will have to reset the window "one touch" operation easy enough, and the date on the display, as will default to 2009, if you have a sunroof will probably need to reset that as well but again easy enough.

Cheers
Col

Hi Col, thanks, yeah I found that out when I reconnected the battery yesterday evening Laughing

I cleaned the earth's behind the headlights on both sides, as I had the front bumper off check the front cruise sensor.

I plan to clean the rest over the next couple of weeks, ready for the winter.

I guess it was no surprise that the two earth points behind the drivers headlight were rusty, I manged to clean them ok.

Many thanks
