Satnav maps on facia

My apologies if this has been covered, but I couldn't find anything on it. I am wondering if the satnav maps can be displayed on the drivers facia as well as in the centre dashboard display, in a 2014 Autobiography Dynamic. I currently have an Audi A6 which does have this feature, but am looking at a very nice RRS with only 36k on and full dealer history. It's not a deal breaker if it can't be done, but I would miss that feature from the Audi.
Thanks

Mate, compared to an Audi, the RRS infotainment is practically from the stone age Laughing

No Android Auto/Apple connectivity, SatNav maps arenot upgradeable unless you fork out $$$ through a dealer, so not worth it.

On the plus side, the Meridian sound system is sublime, DO NOT buy one that doesn't have it! --

My Audi has free MMI updates including maps, for life. Updateable speed camera positions, Carplay, Video in Motion. I'll miss that, although I know you can get kits to install Carplay on the RR. One I'm looking at does have the Meridian system.

I have read of a China made aftermarket android/airplay headunit, which stated to capable this functionality - but actually it is hard to believe this should work.
I have replaced my nav system with an 'IDCORE' identified headunit, bought from 'Unique Auto' (UK), which works just great with android auto - but 1, it does not work with steering wheel controls, 2, it only says 'aux connection' on facia display.
IF anybody has an aftermarket head unit with the asked functionality working would be happy to hear about it!

On my 2017 RRS you can have the maps or navigation on the drivers display and this must be because of the update in 2016. I actually thought they all did this.

Whilst there are obvious benefits, I believe ( but I could be wrong ) that any so called android upgrade to the original system, you'll lose the "Pop up turn by turn" function in the driver display of the original system Big Cry Worth considering !!

Or Sygic, TomTom, waze, Amigo, or any other navigation/ traffic and traffic control alert app you desire.
IMHO, together with internet radio, streaming, Spotify etc a small price for losing a small display in front of you.

^^^ “Whilst there are obvious benefits” Bow down
To lose the factory functions.... “The little old pop up display in the instrument cluster”.....& The Heads Up Display on the Windscreen ( for those fortunate to have it 💁‍♂️) & not forgetting the loss of The LR incontrol Secure function, Again worth considering, it was most certainly a no contest from me.

Your lose the "little odd display", yes.
HUD display probably well (I don't have it) -but I can confirm that you KEEP "LR incontrol Secure function". I have that on my RRS, and app/ GPS tracking just work fine after replacing nav with the aftermarket headunit; obviously it has nothing to do with built-in nav system.
Just for info.

The HUD display you lose....no probability, Fact ! If you don't have it you're not gonna miss it. I neither Promote or Recommend these so called upgrades, But others like me should be aware of the facts .

You've got a paid up subscription to "LR incontrol secure & protect" & don't receive alerts to possible thefts, mmmmmm very strange.
