Hi all, a stupid question possibly but here goes, I bought a used front passenger door from a 2009 model that doesn't have the locking button in the outer handle, this is to replace a 2010 door that does have the lock button in the outer handle !

I don't have a clue, my take is that you could transfer it across. Thinking of manufacturing and the line assembly, it would be too inefficient to have two types for the same model (surely?). Go for it. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue. |

I would assume that the button is for the keyless entry system, therefore you’d need to swap over the loom from your old door to the new door, or at least check that both wiring looms are the same. |

The part number for the door is the same between the pre-facelift and the facelift cars, so as suggested would imagine just a question of swapping the wiring loom and lock/catch/handle assembly over.
