Ordered in an HGV Bush puller set. Broke the first time I used it
Takes about 20 tons of pressure to extract the old bush, according to the floor press

It sounds to me exactly what 14 SDV6 Dynamic sounded like. It ended up being the valve block on the ACE/Dynamic Cornering unit and I replaced with one from a later model and it fixed it straight away. It's a known problem on the earlier models and was sorted from around 15/16 onwards I think...2014 L494 V8 s/c Autobiography Dynamic

Hi Mikey I know this thread is a little old but for the records
I have replaced the ARB Bushes with the poly bush ones and made sure they were greased prior to fitting to avoid the creaking, and the ride is so much better.
I bought some front arms but never fitted them as it was hard to tell if they needed doing as they looked ok, car is at 50K.
So was thinking they have been sitting around and I wanna get them fitted now, I wont be doing it though, so was wondering what your thoughts are about just doing the rears whilst Im at it that way all components should be like new as I did the drop links when the ARB bushes were done?
Cheers

Front arm bushes split, and give a vagueness and a knock when worn. Relatively cheap to replace

Rear arms on the front end dust covers split, water gets in and wears the ball joints, and bushes wear too. Ball joints cannot be replaced separately, so not a cheap job to replace
And as said, ARB bushes can knock too. If you can move the roll bar from side to side with relative ease, these will most likely be the cause of the knock. In my experience, they tend to last around 50-60k miles...
These were all done on a 2016 L405 with 62k miles, and passed an MOT with no advisories only 3 months ago
If a jobs worth doing, get a someone who knows what they are doing to do it!
