4 years on and still happy

I have now had my RRS 2012 for 4 years now .
have not had many real surprises in things gone wrong,
just the usual , parking brake, inlet manifolds x2, brakes,
keep the oil/filter changed regularly and general stuff
bought it at 96k, am now at 151k, and will trust it to go anywhere..
and average 37mpg on long Motorway journeys so not to bad
just a happy post for once .....

Great to read your post and that you're still enjoying your RRS. I've only had my 3.6 2 months but very much loving it. 2010 RRS 3.6 TDV8 HSE Galway Green

Very reassuring for those with that engine (me included).
A good news story as opposed to usual engine/crank/bearing spun etc etc

In fairness, the crank issue isn't exactly "usual". The numbers affected are small as a percentage of the number of engines out there, it's just that we hear about them because people ask for advice when it happens to them.

All of us with the V6 diesel keep our fingers crossed, of course, that it doesn't happen to us.

Ford used the engine in the F150 in the US but I think they mandate a much lower oil change time period (half of the ours) and I read somewhere that they had made some other changes. Will be interesting to see whether Ford USA have the same issues with the crank as JLR have had. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Just another happy note.
2015 L494 3l diesel (autobiography) here; I have bought the car 3 years ago with 67k km-s, now 205k km and counting hard.
With the exception of a (hard to solve) suspension error message zero/nul/no problems with the car; my most reliable drive till now (equalling my MB GL about 10 years ago). Very happy with my RRS.

I have to join the happy club, only 2 years and 20K miles on but I love my 3.0. Have not spared on maint costs and have had to do the usual bottom arms, ARB bushes (upgraded at the same time of course) and spent a small fortune on upgrades but the car has only ever let me down on parking sensors - which was an easy fix. I absolutely love it and it drives like new with almost 90K miles. loads of bad rep on these machines, but you look after them and ..... so far.... they seem to look after you. heres to another few happy years hopefully Very Happy
