My front ACE pipe burst this morning :(

Hi guys. New here.

I bought a 2010 sport privately 3 weeks ago and now have a big issue with it. I took a mechanic with me and he said it looked clean underneath. Unfortunately when I went out yesterday one of the ACE pipes burst behind the front wheel. I know this is a costly fix and a massive bill I could be doing without right now.

Can anyone recommend someone in the central Scotland area that could perhaps fix this? I’m giving a couple of indi garages tomorrow to get rough quotes.

Thanks and apologies if I have put this in the wrong area.

Kev.

Bigger problem is supply of parts ATM

I went to Robbie fluid in Bathgate today and they would only supply a pipe and fittings if I brought my broken but in. The garage I’m using only wants to work on it if I’m replacing them though (which is understandable) but, yeah, I’ve spent all day searching with no luck.

Looks like I’m gonna have to take it off the road for a while.

Managed to temporality fix it. Sanded the pinhole area down, covered it with araldite then quick steel clay, then clamped a bit of hose round it.

Seems to be holding ok.

Not the prettiest but it will do till the pipes eventually come.
