Remember seeing this outfit in OZ, don't know anything about them just recall seeing website before. I would think the cost of shipping a engine from the UK would be horrendous due to the weight, especially if you have to return the old unit. If I remember right it cost me best part of $500 shipping on a set of front and rear EBC brake discs.

You could try searching for an engine from the Ford Territory... same engine. Apparently there were 12000 of these sold in New Zealand.

If one knows the car inside out and has spent money on ensuring everything is sorted, swapping to a new car brings the risk of buying a pup with lots of issues ready to bite your wallet. Swapping in a replacement engine might be the cheaper option in that case. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Looked at it to buy would be $7,500NZD plus shipping not forgetting GST/VAT. Have found a 2013 Ford Territory 2.7tdi car with interior water damaged(windows left open and garden sprinkler system damaged it)here in Christchurch NZ done 140,000km(87,000 miles) on Auction site is at $3,500(1,110 pounds) so will be watching this finishes this Wednesday.. Very true, have spent a lot of money over the 8 years and car drives absolutely or was perfectly, over last 2 years was driving like a new car, very very reluctant to scrap this, will be trying all the Ford breakers here in NZ, bound to be a good engine out of a Ford Territory as a member has said 12,000 of these in NZ over the years but a lot of these would be petrol, Cheers |

Starting to think now brand new engine would be far to expensive plus shipping from UK, Looking at all options at the moment. Cheers |

An additional problem I can see with shipping a engine from UK, OZ or anywhere else overseas for that matter, that if by any chance you had a problem with it assuming it had a warranty, would be getting anything done about it without it costing you a lot more money and time with vehicle of the road, especially if it was a s/h engine.

Hi Team, have managed to locate 2.7tdv6 engine from a 2015 Ford Territory here in NZ with only 65,000kms or 40,000 miles for 1,500 pounds delivered, should be i hope Euro4 engine, the car breakers i bought the engine from says he has sold a few Territory engines to Land Rover Owners, back on the road in 3 days hopefully. he is doing cambelts and the all the upgraded turbo hoses while engine out. Good luck with the new engine. You have certainly done the sensible thing using a Territory 2.7 TDCi engine, as these were not used until 2012, which means a number of improvements were made over the 1st 2.7s fitted to D3s.
