100% - but if a company has spent a lot of time researching a particular engine, they can do a basic safe flash generic on ones after ( followed by diag etc )

Sure thing. It all comes down to whether the garage in question adjusted the map or not. Regards etc.,

Yeah that was never going to happen. ECU relearns values after a flash right enough, but they shouldnt be near the limits to put up a fault like that. |

Also worth mentioning the garage couldn’t do the remap through the normal port under steering wheel, had to remove the battery and get to the unit behind there |

So would it make you think that perhaps going to a LR specialist may have been a better choice?, if they thought it could be mapped via the OBD port. Perhaps I'm over thinking it?. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue. |

So yeah the RRS 2010 went back to garage yesterday morning as obviously not happy when the light came on when exceeding 70 mph (2000 revs)

Without being funny, I would perhaps have a LR specialist have a look over the car. I would guess whoever mapped it just did a 10-20% increase across the board, but as stated earlier in the thread, it may be highlighting something else. |

I had a celtic tuning remap and it kept blowing inlet manifolds, 3 times infact. now had it removed and not blown one since, could be just a coincidence but I'm not going to risk it anymore |

Mine is a 3.0 SDV6 HSE 2012 MY. I took it to Alive in Louth (I was working in the South at the time). It's an ECU out on the bench job, or at least was back in 3016 or so when I had it done. Have since put 80k miles on no problems. Vastly improved drive. |

I wish I'd had my SDV6 mapped when I bought it. Never did and with 140k+ on it now, it's probably too late. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

The SDV6 can't be be OBD mapped. They state this on the page you linked to:
2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |
