Sounds like a diesel runaway eating its own oil. Given the recent oil cooler work I’d be going back to the place that did the work. Gone: 10MY L320 RR Sport HSE, Ipanema Sand

Friend of mine had an Isuzu pick up, it would re gen the DPF a lot which resulted in to much diesel getting in the oil which can cause run away on the engine, Isuzu would put another mark on the dip stick and if your oil level reached that mark you had to change the oil, at the time I had the same vehicle with the same problem, I sold mine after that, one of the reasons I brought a petrol Range Rover. |

Let’s hope it’s not runaway, which would be the worst case scenario, my l494 sport is the petrol supercharged, I have had my share of problems with it to be honest , currently got a bumping sound sometimes from the back somewhere . I wish you luck with your diagnosis.
