The terrain response only affects traction control etc not the engine parameters.
Go for a blend of economy/performance.
Get the egr valve mapped out to improve drive

EGR mapping. The garage just said yes they also do that service as well. Is EGR mapping same as getting it blanked off ?

Yes but you just get it mapped out so it doesn’t open, same effect as blanking 2015 RRS DIESEL HYBRID

Superb, they charging me extra £20 on top of remap to do this so yeah great stuff - thanks for advice.

Bear in mind that the gearbox (and transfer box) is designed for given torque input and that the remap will push that over the design limit. So you also risk the gearbox. A 25% increase in power and 17% increase in torque puts the entire drivetrain under more strain and thus increases the likelihood of failure. The original RRS gearbox was different in the SC to that in the TDV6 and the 4.4V8 for this reason.

Not saying don't do it - just remember that everything is affected by it, not just the engine (and your grin! )

Oh, and the only difference the extra power will make to the off road systems is that traction will be lost more easily because the tyres will have more grunt thrown at them. But on road, it'll make little difference except in slippery conditions. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

According to L/R the 5.0L S/C and 3.0L Diesel use the same uprated ZF 6HP28 transmission. My re-mapped 5.0L S/C has been throwing 550+ lbs/ft (750Nm) of torque measured on a Dyno through it for the last 6-7 years and nothings exploded yet, so wouldn't worry about the drivetrain to much. I would also take all those figures with a pinch of salt until I see the car measured on a Dyno.

Increase in what?
Sports selected? This is a change in transmission shift strategy, has nothing to do with horsepower. Later upshifts, earlier downshifts, that's it.
Dynamic mode selected? Does not change a thing in maximum engine output. Stiffens up the ACE and steering, slightly varies the throttle pedal sensitivity.
The drivetrain will act exactly as before remapping, with the only difference of a more powerful engine. Regards etc.,

Probably more noticeable in sports mode but won’t turn it into a Ferrari.
Best improvement is in drivability when pulling away with reduced lag and more responsive. 2015 RRS DIESEL HYBRID

I do recall being told that they never fitted the first 8 speed boxes used in the later L320's to the S/C because they were not rated for the power output of the S/C, but they then uprated it for all L494 variants. However I don't really know if that is right or wrong, glad mine still has the stick shift though as not sure what I would use as a hand/armrest otherwise.

Unrelated, but related… is a D300 the same engine as the D350, but with a different mapping? Does the D300 & D350 share the same model transmission/drivetrain? MY21.5 HSE 221KW D16

Hi Guys

So yeah latest update. I’ve picked the RRS 2010 up from her remap and also EGR remapping.

First thing I notice was the power boost, very good and the engine seemed smooth so all good

However - took her on the A5 bypass which is 70mph and at 70mph I had this fault come on and when I plugged diagnostics in back home some 5 mins later is gave me these codes. The remapping company messaged me this when I told them….

“Just drive it and the injectors will relearn there parameters.
