hello all

i am looking to have a 2006 TDV6 SE insopected ahead of a future purchase

the guy selling it has said that although he is happy for me to have it inspected, he would prefer a reputable company such as the AA or RAC, if you can call these guys that!

anyway, has anyone ever used these 2 companies for this purpose / or would you advise against it for any reason?

i have owned a number of old range rover sports and they have all eventually broken down, some quickly some not for ages so i know what i am potentially buying but this one appears to have been well looked after with regular servicing and in my experience having that is half the battle won

look forward to peoples advice

oh its the 2.7 tdv6 engine and its done 100k with what sounds like a full history and cam belt done at 60k

its had a new intercooler recently also

I wouldn't use either a 2 min Google search will pull up horror stories of AA RAC so called inspections.
Has the oil pump been replaced??
Have it taken to a RR main dealer the seller will give it away after they inspect a car.
Or an independent if you know a decent landy independent.
