Winters fitted today 2 x swollen nuts

I chose today to swap them over for the season. All going well rolling around and showing zero degrees. Got to the last wheel and my 22mm socket wouldn’t fit over 2 of the nuts. Went to the toolbox and got the multi sided socket and my nylon hammer. Gently tapped it on and undid the nut. Punched it out with my drift which showed how fragile these are. Repeated for the second nut and luckily I have spares.

Where’s the current go to for solids please.

Photos in my gallery if it doesn’t show.

Well done with the removal of the swollen rusty wheel nuts Steve, i see there's a big problem here is there no solids to fit the RRS lugs? So these could be rusting on your RRS without you even knowing, so when on a terrible wind day (i hate the wind) you could get a flat tire and not be able to change out the flat hence having to call a tilt tray truck to get you to the repair shop.

Has the aftermarket lug nut being sort after?

I too had 2 swollen nuts when I changed wheels, problem was solved once I got the wheel alignment tool.

Oh, sorry, didn't read the full story.
