Broken into without damage

Locked and Parked my car at a busy outdoor parking spot last night, came back to it a few hours later to discover someone had been in and had a good nose around! Are our cars that easy to get into?

In a word, yes. If you have keyless entry then it’s very easy for a thief to use various methods to relay the signal from your key to then get into your car. Faraday pouches will help prevent this.

@amir, it doesn't matter how far away you are, this is how the keyless thieves work:

When they see you park, they get close enough to detect & record the keyless signal between you & your car. Once you're away from your car, they can then send the signal back and your car unlocks.

Disable the keyless mode, it's easy to do:

Exactly - you only 2 laptops - 2 wifi hotspots they can pick up your key signal from anywhere, duplicate it and get into your car.
For the sake of just pressing unlock/lock on your fob its worth turning it off.

Are you also 100% sure that it was locked? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

That was my question. I’ve accidentally unlocked my car after locking it because my hand tapped the handle. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory
