Odd request for info

I am trying to reduce vehicle weight as I tow a Large Van. According to RR the car is supposed to weigh about 2.4 ton but with passengers and fuel runs in at around 2.8. I have saved weight by going to LIPO4 batteries and am now considering getting rid of the rear Mufflers. Wondering if anyone knows the weight of these? M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

I removed mine but never weighed them, but they are quite heavy.I removed them hopping it would sound better but it hardly changed the sound at all, mine was the V6.I’m guessing the V8 would sound better though. Andy.

2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

About 13 kegs the two.according to bathroom scales, sad I kept them but would refit if I sold , SDV6, deeper sound at low rpm on Milltek.

Van is 2.6 ton empty and 3.3 with load. Bigger issue is rear axle loads as well. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

Axle load caused by the trailer shouldn't really be an issue if one is following LR's nose weight limits. It should be no more than 150kg (from memory) no matter what mass the towed load is.

Ah, you're down under, aren't you? Do you have a higher nose weight limit down there? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Towball weight is 350 kgs in OZ , and Mine runs about 329 with e bikes and load. However the towball weight mulptiplies the rear axle weight which I am assuming will add 400 kgs to rear axle weight, which doesn't leave much. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.
