2007 RRS V8 3.6 diesel. Drives fine at low speeds but as speed builds above 70mph a vibration starts to build which seems to be coming through the body. There is a slight shimmy through the steering wheel from the front wheels but I don’t think it’s enough to make the car shake as it does at high speed. All the wheels have recently been refurbished and balanced. I did disassemble and fit a new centre bearing on the rear propshaft a while back but marked everything up and am pretty certain I got it all back together in the same orientation, but I guess could have got it wrong? I did notice a slight vibration following the propshaft rebuild when sitting in the rear but nothing like I’ve got now. As speed gets above 70mph vibration builds until it’s starting to get really concerning, feeling like something is going to break. Any suggestions gratefully received, thanks.

Seized EPB shoes or rear caliper/s

Thanks for the reply. That’s very interesting as I have changed the rear shoes and pads just recently. The shoes were pretty rough against the backing plate but cleaned and lubed everything up. I wonder if I’ve put something back together incorrectly?
If this was the cause of my vibrations would the rear brakes start getting hot please? Where does the vibration come from in this situation please?

Most common bushings are front end lower arm rear bushings and rear end upper arm front bushings. This doesn’t mean nothing else will be bad, but they’re the typical culprits. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

Thanks guys, your input is much appreciated. I think I can rule out the rear brakes. The shoes nor the pads seem to be binding as the car rolls freely on an incline and no excessive heat build up on the disks when driven. I’ll check the aforementioned bushes.
