Slight. Strange L320 starting issue

On my first journey of the day, car starts fine.
But pop in for fuel or to a shop say and then when I go to start it cranks for a split second, kind of drops out for a split second then continues the process until fired up.
Not all the time but it's regular enough to warrant this post.

Iany ideas?

Proper tight. Its weird, like a split second cut off before it cranks again to fully start.

How’s the battery check out?

Could be the starter solenoid dying. First startup it’s cold so no problem. Second startup it’s heat soaked and starting to bind. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

Aye, good shout that. How can I test that or is it just change it regardless and hope that's the issue.

That would be difficult to test. Could try testing resistance when cold and then when hot. However, if it’s only a second or so it stops you may not see much on the meter. Could try making a heat shield for it or getting a heat shield blanket for it. I’m definitely thinking heat soaked starter since my R1 would do the exact same thing. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory
