Insurance good?

Just received quotes via Go Compare for £1076 with £1300 excess. Full no claims, mid 40's, no accidents/convictions, parked on drive in low crime area.

Is that a reasonable price or what site, insurance company do you recommend?

There are a huge number of factors in insurance, but mine was a lot less with A Plan, site sponsors, and a lot less excess. May be also try different variations of named drivers, adding or removing SWMBO can also make a big difference. Joined the X5 45e club

NFU work well for me, £1500.00 for the RRS, Alpine 110 and Seat Arona with £800.00 excess on RRS. Tim
RRS sold and replaced with a Skoda Kodiaq after appalling RR Dealer experience and LR inability to supply new cars in any sort of reasonable time frame..

I was shocked by those numbers yesterday when you posted. I suppose it is what it is for the premium for a new car, but those XSs’ Shocked

It’s definitely worth giving Admiral a try. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Meercat is your friend.
I paid in August £380 fully comp including business use and wife as named driver. Car kept on private drive. Declared 1 my fault accident 4 years ago.
I think your postcode must have a huge influence. RRS HSE Dynamic SDV6 2014

Identical to you, but I can’t even get anyone to quote. If it comes out to high I won’t be proceeding.

There are so many variables when it comes to insurance, but I'm also similar and have managed to get some quotes via Compare the Market for £800 - £900.

Update - I ran a quote last night with the reg. plate is now known. The price reduced to £680 with a lower excess based on a market price of £99k.

I will still try A-plan today and then cancel the original insurance.

Got my renewal the other day from Churchell. Gone up from £450 to £470. Checked meerkat site and could get it down to £350. Called Churchell and they have reduced it to £380. Very happy with this now.😁

That’s crazy cheap who was that with I’m at £903 with ensure? I spoke to A-Plan and they were saying atleast 2% of the vehicle value and some guys in central London are paying 5 figures for there vogues.

Surely JLR are aware of this and should address the security woes.
