Lets hope its just sound system upgrades that are on hold. Also notice no choice of spare wheel listed. Tim
RRS sold and replaced with a Skoda Kodiaq after appalling RR Dealer experience and LR inability to supply new cars in any sort of reasonable time frame..

Got a call today from the dealer to say mines arriving end of October.

Dynamic 440e. Said JLR were picking what they can build in the pool and as I hadn’t spec’d much they could build it.

I wanted to change to the updated stereo, but that added 6-9 months on the build.

Congrats. I was lucky enough to get one of only a few ‘launch’ cars so you would assume these would be first to land. Strange times indeed. I guess there’s no guarantee that the AB’s and FE when they will pull through the line

What options did you have on your car?
My unslotted car has blackpack, tints, fog lights, park assist and the secure tracker and I placed the pre order before launch.
Will be getting an update on the 12th now.....

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

I passed a transporter full of Sports heading north on the M6 yesterday. I nearly crashed into the darn thing, such was the shock of seeing 8 of the mythical motors all together Current: Cayenne GTS (got fed up with waiting for LR to build my third RRS)
On order: RRS3 510e AB
Gone: RRS SDV8 AB, RRS SDV6, Vauxhall Nova 1.0, Nova 1.3 SR, Nova 1.4 SRi, Renault Laguna (why?), BMW 318is coupe (fabulous - despite having to buy a radio and tape player for it from Halfords), 323i saloon, 325ti compact (superb), 320td compact (awful), VW Golf 2.0d 4Motion (all the car you really need), BMW 120d compact (excellent), 118d compact (slow), 335d coupe (rapid)

P440e in white with red calliper, privacy glass and ventilated cooled seats. This was my basic spec to secure and slot and had planned on adding a few things later on, mainly stereo upgrade however this would have added a further 6-9 months.

I placed a deposit on new P440e back in Jan of this year. Initially I was told delivery would be Sept/Oct this year which was earlier than other dealers were quoting at the time. I was told that was because the dealer group (Sytner) was so big that they would be able to get more vehicles from L-R than other dealer groups. I now know that was just bullshit designed to get me to place my deposit with them. And it worked

As the months went by, I contacted the salesman again and was told sorry they couldnt guarantee a Sept/Oct delivery and in fact they couldnt tell me when delivery would be but they felt sure it would be before end this year or worst case early next year.

And now recently I have received the same letter posted by endee77 above. I emailed my salesman (he was too busy to take my call) and asked whether my delivery would be quicker if I changed from the P440e to D300 engine and/or deleted Meridian Surround and 360deg cameras. He did reply but said none of those changes would make any difference and that he now had no idea at all when delivery would be. I asked him if any customers who had placed orders with Sytner for the new RRS had either received their vehicles or had a confirmed delivery date. He said that none had been delivered and nobody had a confirmed delivery date. How true that is I dont know

So here I am 10months after placing a deposit and I have absolutely no idea when I will get my new car. If only they would give customers some information they could make a decision. If for example they said I was unlikely to see my car in 2023 then I could go out and buy a used car in the interim. My contract hire on my existing RR P400e expired back in Aug and I have extended the contract for 6 months but I dont really want to extend it much further because then the car will be beyond the L-R warranty period and we all know the dangers of that. So thanks for nothing, L-R and Sytner

Oh yes and just FYI today I rang a Mini dealer because my wife's car is also up for changing soon. They can deliver a petrol Countryman by Nov this year or the PHEV version by Feb next year. I know they're not comparable cars but if BMW/Mini can offer acceptable delivery times why the hell can't L-R? It also begs the question as to what the hell L-R employees are doing because they certainly dont seem to be building any cars

Similar position here not sure if to get a car in the interim not knowing the dates.

I couldn’t get a slot to build a x5 45e from my normal dealer before I decided to wait out the new RRS

The X5M is tempting me at the moment just as an interim.

Actually I'm tempted by the X5 M50D as an interim too!

I've had a Macan GTS on order for ages as a backstop, but you can't get them either because Bose can't supply surround sound systems either. Not to mention that my missus has had an Evoque on order for 6 months but she specified a Meridien system on that too so no sign of that either..... Sad

4 weeks ago, I decided to explore my options as I was getting a bad vibe about my chances of getting the P440e I ordered in June.

I spoke to really friendly BMW dealer located near the west midlands who informed me that I was extremely unlikely to get the RRS 4440e earlier than October 2023.

He informed me that he had one build slot this year for a BMW x5 45e.

He said if I took this slot, I would get my car by end of December this year.

I bit the built, paid a deposit, and he has come back to me 2 weeks ago say that the car I ordered has had its build date brought forward from November to October this year, and I should now expect delivery at the end of November or very early in December.

Lets see what happens.

So an salesmen from another brand telling you that you won’t get a build until October 2023, what does he know that the rest of the world don’t….. and you ordered from him…. His sales pitches worked a treat. 😂
