Sidesteps non OEM

I had a look at the underside of my OEM sidesteps on my 2015 Sport. Pretty rusty, so with time on my hands (always a bad thing), I took them off in order to get rid of the worst of the rust & repaint them with Hammerite. Although they are structurally sound there is a lot of rust & to be honest, I'm getting fed up. So the question is, do I continue or buy a new set of pattern ones for about £200 ish from Ebay.
I assume lots of people have bought pattern sidesteps, so would like your opinion whether they last or not. Mine look as good as new (apart from the underside) Thumbs Up Well, back to de-rusting Big Cry Range Rover Sport (gone): Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe: 992 Porsche Carrera 4S: Range Rover Fifty P400e

Fitted the new side steps today, really happy with them. They don't have the edging strip on, but the rubber tread wraps over the edge which i prefer as in the past the trim has come loose or fell off on my previous Land Rovers.

Took me about 20 mins a side to fit, nice and simple.

They are from the company in jimbg's post.
